Description: NOS EMD General Motors Locomotives NY Overseas Operations 5 inch Dietzgen slide rule. Comes with box, instructions, and the leather carrying case. EMD did not spare expense when selecting this item as Dietzgen was considered by engineers as the industry standard at the time. I would date this item either to the 1950's or very early 1960's as there is no zip code on the address. EMD probably did not make a lot of these and it's rare to find one still in the original box. I will be listing a lot of collectibles from my huge collection of EMD memorabilia over the next couple months. Most everything I have in my collection is either NOS (new old stock) or in excellent used condition.
