Description: In the 1950's, General Motors was accused of having a monopoly on locomotive production in the United States. A lot of it stemmed from F unit production during WWII. To be fair, EMC/EMD did develop the FT prior to WWII and the first locomotives were delivered ahead of the start of the war (AT&SF unit 100). As such, EMC was ready to deliver freight locomotives on a large scale and did receive large orders. In any case, a Senate subcommittee was formed and an investigation ensued. These two NOS booklets detail EMD's response to the subcommittee as published in 1961. I wanted to keep these together as they both cover the same topic but in two different formats. I have another publication from an earlier year listed separately. Note light corner fold on the smaller booklet. Will send USPS
