Description: In the 1950's, General Motors was accused of having a monopoly on locomotive production in the United States. A lot of it stemmed from F unit production during WWII. To be fair, EMC/EMD did develop the FT prior to WWII and the first locomotives were delivered ahead of the start of the war (AT&SF unit 100). As such, EMC was ready to deliver freight locomotives on a large scale and did receive large orders. In any case, a Senate subcommittee was formed and an investigation ensued. This 31 page NOS booklet details EMD's response to the subcommittee as presented by C. Osborn (head of EMD during that time period). Rare to find this booklet in this condition. Will send USPS
