Description: Ever wondered what that little wired (weird) plug is on the side of your 1970-77 Norton Commando? Most Commandos when you see one, have just the socket with two small holes staring at you. The plug went MIA decades ago. How many times have you been asked "what is that?" Norton named this unit the " Accessory Plug and Socket" part number 06-2666. Folklore mentions a 12-volt razor that could be plugged into this little power take off unit. Today's use would be more suited as a trickle charger hook up. Regardless it's an expensive, Made In England, rare, exclusive Norton part. Best suited for the purist or someone who just gets bugged looking at two little holes. These units were fitted on 1970 Interim to 1977 Mark III Commandos. We have included the mounting screws and insulating washer. Part numbers are 60-2666 Accessory Plug and Socket (2 pieces), Screws 06-2722 (2) and Insulating Washer (1) 06-3025. Please note: The plug is a plug, it is not designed as a connector for a 12-volt device. One male prong is slightly larger than the other, fitment is one way. The socket excepts a 12- volt device for charging or power. You will have to fashion your own connector using round electrical terminals to whatever 12-volt device you wish to attach. Alternately the plug could be drilled and wired, however if the device was not plugged in, you would have two holes to stare at and no plug. Terrible. Perhaps there are 12-volt English razors out there that would just plug in? Have a shave and kill your battery? Maybe keep the bike running while you shave?
