Description: "At the Torch" An A4 Limited Edition Print A signed limited edition print (250 prints commissioned) taken from an original painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.The print shows a scene on the dance floor at the Torch, in Tunstall, Stoke on Trent. The Torch was one of the biggest Northern Soul Clubs of the 1970's.Although a small club, the Torch was the biggest Northern Soul venue in 1972, after the Twisted Wheel closed and before Wigan Casino opened. The dance floor was always packed, the music was superb - the atmosphere electric. "At the Torch" captures those times!!All Neil's art is completed from memory - he was a regular at the Torch at it's heyday in 1972.Details from the print can be seen in images 2, 3 and 4, plus check out the video.Printed on 250 gram fine art paper. Size 29.7 cm wide by 21 cm tall - fits a standard A4 frame. The print will be sent with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, please see image 5.
