Description: This auction is for one new Trolley Dodger Records audio CD of the passenger and freight operations of the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee electric interurban railroad. The total playing time of this disc is 58:17. These are vintage recordings, originally released on LPs #18 and 26 by the long-gone Railroad Record Club of Hawkins, Wisconsin in the 1950s and 60s. They have been digitally remastered using the best equipment and techniques. This CD comes with the original liner notes for each LP. Thrill to the sounds of this fabled interurban that last ran on January 21, 1963. Record #18: Side One is an "on train" run from Mundelein to the main stem with lots of stops and motor hum. Side Two is trackside scenes of passenger equipment, standard and Electroliners, around Racine and Mundelein. Record #26: A rare "on train" recording from the cab of locomotive No. 459, the huge es-Oregon Electric giant. Includes both switching and main line runs.
