Noritake Cobalt & Gold Demitasse Cups & Saucers w/ 12" Tray Lake Cottage Scenes

Description: Recent find from a North Carolina estate. Offering a stunning circa 1920, set of five, 2 1/8" demitasse cup and saucer sets with a 12" round tray by Noritake in a cobalt and gold lake cottage scene design. All pieces are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or stains; extremely light to no evidence of use. Some very light gold rub, primarily on the saucers' edges, but very insignificant. The decorative elements are hand painted and are in amazing condition with stunning details and extremely strong gold embellishments. Marked on the underside with the green Noritake Morimura "M" wreath, "Handpainted" and "Made in Japan." This marking combination was first used in 1918. Gorgeous pre-World War II Japanese porcelain in a very unique and highly detailed pattern. Sold separately on eBay, we will be adding a listing for the matching creamer and sugar bowl with lid.
