The CLEAR paper suggests that the stamps take on the color of the envelope to which they are affixed. The simple and delightful designs have interesting winter and seasonal elements, rather than Santa Claus, with his sled and team of reindeer. The stamps show "MR. WINTER JOY" and "MRS. ICE CRYSTAL" - featuring (on the 70c stamp) a snowman, pine cones, antlers, colored bows, berries, and gingerbread cookies, and (on the 95c value) poinsettias, icicles, jewelry, and stars.
