Description: Not a vehicle seen - if ever, on eBay. Of likely interest to Matchbox collectors and any collector of super rare diecasts. It is beautifully made! So, what is Harrison's Cave I hear you ask? It is a stalactite/stalagmite cave system on the northern part of the island of Barbados. Up there with any limestone cave formations the world over (read about it on the underside of the box - Image 6) it has something none of the others have - this amazing tour vehicle which transports tourists the entire length of the caverns - stopping of course at key locations where the guide describes what you're seeing. The transporter was designed specifically for the layout of these caves and was built to specifications. It is no Chevrolet, Bedford, BMW or Citroen - just a locally built piece of engineering. When I bought this at the souvenir niche at Harrison's Cave in 2015...i noticed there were very few for sale - two or three at the most. I asked about this and was told they make only a very limited number of these sets - thus my comment on its rarity. The successful buyer will note - as I did, when I returned to Colorado and opened the box (and by the way....the curving grey road you see in there is an exact replica of the same thing you drive on in the caves themselves).....the second car/carriage does not have the correct 'female' hitch and thus does not fit on. I wasn't inclined to fly back to Barbados to argue the point. It wasn't something disturbed me unduly. Doesn't affect the displaying factor. In the absence of any other information (checking the underside of the vehicles) I assume the item was made in Barbados. I could be wrong. This would make a superlative addition to any diecast collection.
