Gamecube game controls are generally already setup in a general format, but you can customize the controls to your liking. The shell has been repainted and clear coated, solid black. You can still see remnants of the previous designs underneath as faint outlines, but the whole shell is still solid black. If this bothers you, please do not buy it. There was a little semi-circle button on the bottom left of the device. This was custom installed by me, and what it was used for was controlling the screen's brightness, contrast, etc. I have.Evey once and a while, when turning on the device, the blue screen will linger longer than it normal and then go black without proceeding to the RVLoader screen. If this happens, just turn it off and on again and it should boot as normal. Since removed it and I put a little bit of hot glue over it and may not look pretty but it covers the socket. You still need to set the controls per game, mainly only for wii games, before you can actually play. There are many videos out there to walk you through how to use this device.
