Nikon D100 Digital Camera 6.1 Mega Pixels BODY Excellent Condition w/Exception

Description: Nikon D100 Digital Camera 6.1 Mega Pixels BODY Excellent Condition with Exception. The D100 was introduced in February of 2002, Nikon's first amateur Digital SLR camera was listed for $1,999. It is a 6 MP DX. I bought is as soon as it was available, probably at Calumet in San Francisco. Listing is for the BODY ONLY. Any lens shown is for illustration only. Very Low Mileage Camera. Things moved fast back in these early digital days, and a new camera was always on it’s way. So this D100 was soon replaced by the D70 mid 2004. Another issue that contributed to its Low Mileage was after the Dot Com Crash I was scrambling about a bit work wise so I was not taking many photos.I could not get a shutter count. I could get the EDIF but there was no shutter count. This must have been a later feature. It does have an issue. The Mode Dial is wonky. Camera takes perfectly good photographs, but one must be aware of what setting is being used by keeping watch in the view finder to see if it is in P, A,S or M. It seems to prefer P, but can be changed by jiggling(technical term) the mode dial, so the mode dial itself is inconsistent. I looked into fixing this, apparently after warranty, and it cost $$$$$ so I left it and moved on. It comes with most everything that came with originally, battery charger, strap, a functional battery (the original one seems dead) manuals The rear screen protector, I leave it off mostly for the photos, esthetics you now. The one thing it does not have is the software disks that came with it. They probably went with the computer of that era, a Sawtooth Mac? The box is all good with the exception of one dinged corner as shown in photo. Since it is in pretty close to perfect condition look wise and comes with the original boxes etc, I think of it as being a great one for the Nikon collector.
