Description: Hey friends, This is a nice all original 1951 Washington License Plate. Stamped 1951 plates are much harder to find than stamped 1950 plates. If you already had a 1950 plate you got a 51 metal tag to use on it. If you were a new registrant in 1951 you got a stamped 51 plate. These are steel plates and they didn’t hold up well originally. This is a very nice example of an original 51 plate. This is correct for car (not truck) This was originally issued out of King County. That’s what the “A”means. They were county coded by population size. Starting with the largest. For example…. A King B Pierce C Spokane D Snohomish E Yakima F Whatcom G Clark Etc…… It’s very straight and lays flat. NO cracks, NO dents, NO extra holes. Strong glossy original paint. Some minor paint loss on the boarder. Some small scrapes and scratches from 70 + years of storage. Please look at the pictures closely. They are part of the description. These are legal to use in Washington under the (YOM) law. Year of Manufacture. Any vehicle 30 years old or older that isn’t a daily driver can pay a one time fee and permanently register vintage plates to their vehicle. Like and follow us on Facebook! Hannah’s Vintage Plates!
