Description: Nice Mixture 6 Birthday Antique Postcards.1900s. EMB Gold Trim. Flowers, Scenes This is a nice selection of 6 antique BIRTHDAY GREETINGS postcards that have the CLASSIC look that was popular in the early 1900s era. The postcards show FLOWERS, RURAL SCENES, SHOE, etc. These antique postcards are nicely designed and have a colorful and attractive look to them. Five of these are EMBOSSED, and most were "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). Also, five have GOLD TRIM in their designs that adds to their beauty. One of the postcards was published by Samuel Langsdorf, a well respected publisher of that era. These are collector antique postcards that will keep their value. There is a postcard that has big letters for the birthday message, as well as purple flowers in the foreground, and red and yellow colors in the back. This postcard has a nice gold trim border. Another postcard shows a light green shoe with blue forget-me-not flowers inside of it. There is a rural scene with a sunset and a brook, with a bouquet of green flowers to the side and a gold border. Another postcard shows red and purple flowers with greenery and gold trim around the design. There is a postcard with purple flowers and a nice message that has nicely designed letters, and gold trim. The last postcard is from England and it is for someone's 21st Birthday. It has a circle with a river scene and a key hanging from that circle as well as multi-colored flowers all around. This postcard was printed in Belgium and it is flat printed. The postcards are attractive and pleasing to look at. They have good detail and capture the classic style used back in the early 1900s. They are from different publishers. Overall, this is a nice selection of antique Birthday Greetings postcards. These are collector items because of their age, the gold trim designs, most being "Printed in Germany", and their interest to Birthday Greetings collectors. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (5) with cancel dates of 1909-1912, and the 21st Birthday postcard has a cancel date of 1923. Five of these are EMBOSSED and have GOLD TRIM. They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and are good for a collector or dealer. They will keep their value. Often these postcards are sold as individual items for many dollars each. They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and their backs.
