Description: Beautiful 19th century box on bracket feet measures 9 1/2'' wide by 7'' deep at the feet and stands 5''high. It retains original lock but is lacking the key also lacking compartment divider inside. Unusual to find box with lock so perhaps this was originally a tea caddy and missing containers. It would make a great box for jewelry and valuables. It is carved extensively all over and even includes flying bats at the front and back corners as well as elaborately carved scenes with people on all sides.Thanks for looking.
