Description: For sale is a very cute Antique 19th century primitive Windsor back child’s rocking chair with nice stenciled chair back decoration. All four legs are pegged through a single board, a defining Windsor technique. The rocking feet is added to the legs with square nails. The tall back fans out dramatically giving it a unique primitive appeal. Great condition observed on both the top and the bottom. The chair measures approximately 26” tall to the top of the back rest, 14” wide and 13.5” deep for the seat, and 20” long for the rocker feet. The original gilt painted surface is well maintained for this chair. Smooth and shining surface. Some surface wears commensurate with age. Structurally stable and has no problem bearing weight of a child. Please see all photos from all angles for detailed condition. Overall, a unique antique early American wooden children’s furniture waiting to be added to your early Americana/antiques furniture/ primitive kitchen collection. It would be great as a stand or a riser for your other items at your antiques country home! Ship with full insurance and careful packaging. Please feel free to check out my other antique and collectible listings. I gladly combine shipping whenever practical.
