The surface of this antique sauceboat is plain and embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'I.F'. The upper portion of the body features an embossed scalloped shaped rim. The sauceboat is fitted with a fine opposing scroll handle with a scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. This impressive example of Georgian silverware is supported by three impressive applied scrolling hoof style feet with impressive shell motifs in junction with the body. This exceptional sauceboat is crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Langlands I & John Robertson I. Condition This antique silver sauce boat is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition for its type. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
