The design on the cover is engraved in the leather & according to one of the pages in the journal, This is an adaptation from a stain glass window door design with semiabstract rose, c,1903 byCharles Rennie Mackintosh (Scottish , 1808-1928) For Miss Catherine Cranston's Willow Tea Room in Glasgow. Designed by Shannon Lemme. This is an awesome find! Not another out there that I could fine. Journal appears to be in excellent new condition. It has been opened so it doesn't stay completely shut but does look great. all pages appear to be clean. Box is decent but does show some wear on inside edge of bottom of box (see last photo). Same design on the front of the box and similar floral on the entire lid which looks like his work also. You are getting 2 collectibleCharles Rennie Mackintosh items for 1 price.
