Product Description: This offering is for one set (a pair) of new-old-stock Lapize genuine leather toe straps in a yellow color. Each toe strap measures 41 cm in length (inclusive of the buckle) and 37 cm in length (not inclusive of the buckle). The Lapize brand was one of the vintage makers of toe straps coming out of France several years ago. I do not know their exact vintage, but I believe clipless pedals began gaining popularity in the late 80's...so our best guess is these toe straps pre-date this period. As a result, I would guess these toe straps are around 30 years removed from their production date. I don't know that there were significant differences in quality when comparing vintage genuine leather toe straps from the 80's era and before. I suspect there were some quality differences, and while I do not believe these Lapize branded toe straps represent the top-end, I can confirm they were made from good materials (genuine leather straps and steel clamps/binders)...so I believe they are good quality. As for condition, these toe straps came to us bulk packed in large (sealed) plastic bags that hold several toe straps. As a result, the toe straps are not retail packaged, but they still show fairly well and are clearly new and unused. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service.
