Description: Up for grabs is this very nice, never set up Sony CDP-CX230 CD changer set. The unit was only opened up to inspect contents when originally purchased new, and now again to include some pictures for this listing. All the accessories are still factory wrapped as they should and the unit still has the tape holding the door shut. The original box does have some wear from being moved around over the years. I did note that it appears that this was originally purchased and planned for use in some sort of Bell Telephone systems outfit and it does have a "BellSouth" badge affixed to the top front edge of the unit. I have been working on these units for years, and even though it is New old stock, I still did perform a basic/standard service that I perform on all these models new or used due to age. This includes installing a fresh belt set and re-lubricating the laser tracking gear drive with new synthetic grease (many a time I find that the original grease tends to turn into more of a tacky glue like substance rather than a slick lubricant). With this work performed, this unit is as fresh a unit you will find as if Sony was still rolling these off the production line. I will be shipping this with a separate, outer plain shipping box with more packing peanuts in-between the two for added cushioning and to protect the original Sony retail box.
