A new heavy duty/performance "scissor" detent cam spring for the M20, M21 & M22 Muncie '63-'74 4spd. transmissions. (also fits the saginaw's) GM used a much smaller/weaker spring for passenger models and a heavy duty spring on the performance models. GM has discontinued this part. I have compared a genuine GM spring next to mine, so you can compare (picture 3). I have also included a new E-clip for convenience. The spring will fatigue over time, why not replace it with new. I carry the reverse detent ball and spring on another auction and gaskets too! Auction is for the spring and E-clip only. "If your gonna rebuild it, rebuild it right!"
