Description: Oil on canvasboard painting of a quaint New Mexico village scene including the central church, painted in a skilled impressionist hand on a circa 1960's or 1970's 10" by 14" Morilla canvasboard (15" by 19" framed), signed at lower left "Sheldon Parsons". Sheldon Parsons was a well-known, important New Mexico impressionist, but this work is not in his style nor was it painted in the right period (he died in 1943), so it is offered on its own merits as simply a very nicely executed Southwest painting. Acquired in San Angelo in West Texas.
