It depicts several men fishing for bluefish on the beach of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix) are plentiful! They are using the squidding technique. Squidding the line is cast out, allowed to hit bottom, and then alternately pulled in and released to create an appetizing motion. Wonderful old fishing printing.Asbury Park is a city in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, located on the Jersey Shore and part of the New York City Metropolitan Area. Asbury Park was originally incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1874, from portions of Ocean Township. The borough was reincorporated on February 28, 1893.
