New Holland 2.5 Gal Extended Life OAT Coolant / Antifreeze - Premix 50/50 MAT 3724 Part # 73344308 New Holland 2.5 Gal Extended Life OAT Coolant / Antifreeze - Premix 50/50 MAT 3724 Part # 73344308 Part #: 73344308 Heavy-Duty OAT Coolant OEM For use in Tier 4 Final/Stage V engines and earlier Extended-Life OAT Coolant Extended-Life OAT Coolant is a long service life coolant based exclusively on a synergistic combination of Organic Additive Technology (OAT) that has been found to provide excellent overall corrosive protection. It is suitable for all heavy/light-duty diesel, natural gas and gasoline engines. It has been formulated and approved by CNH Industrial engineers under the new next-generation MAT 3724 specifications and provides excellent high-temperature protection in extreme conditions. It protects cooling system metals including brass, copper, solder, steel and cast iron against rust, corrosion and deterioration. It also provides extended water pump performance and fights against deposit buildup and cylinder liner cavitation. New Holland Tier 4 Final/Stage V engines require the use of an Organic Additive Technology (OAT) based coolant, making Extended-Life OAT Coolant the recommended brand. Features, Benefits & Performance One coolant for all generations of equipment new and legacy. Extended-Life OAT Coolant provides up to 4,000 hours / 4 years of service life max (whichever comes first) in heavy equipment applications without the need of a booster or extender. Older coolant formulations provide a useful life ranging from 1,200 to 2,000 hours (or two years, whichever comes first). Formulated to cool the higher combustion temperatures and cylinder pressures required for todays Tier 4 Final/Stage V diesel engines, as well as older engines. Designed and recommended for intense service of heavy-duty diesel and other vehicles including on-road, off-road, construction, marine, mining, and agricultural equipment. It eliminates the need to carry multiple coolants to service different engines, providing the added value. As a full OAT product, it provides extended performance with no possibility of deposit/gel formation when used as directed. No need to charge the coolant with supplemental coolant additives (SCAs). The proprietary OAT corrosion inhibitor system is engineered for new cooling systems, offering protection against corrosion and deterioration, excellent high temperature aluminum and liner cavitation protection, and excellent water pump life. This level of protection contributes to a lower total cost of ownership compared to other coolants. Provides protection against low temperature freeze-up or high temperature boil-over and suitable for all seasons use. Formulated with bittering agent to reduce the likelihood of accidental animal ingestion. When to Use Premix vs. Concentrate? Premix: The right choice for immediate, easy use in the shop. Ideal when poor water quality is a concern. Concentrate: Ideal for professionals. Must use deionized or distilled water at a 50:50 ratio. This concentration will protect the cooling system to -37 degrees Celsius (-34 degrees Fahrenheit). OAT vs. Conventional Coolant Heavy-duty diesel coolant features three components: water, anti-freeze/anti-boil and an additive package made up of corrosion inhibitors and other additives. It is this last component the additive package that differentiates OAT from conventional coolant. OAT coolant features corrosion inhibitors that are carbon-based as opposed to nitrite inhibitors in conventional coolant. This feature makes OAT coolant fully backwards compatible making it the ONLY coolant able to protect all generations of equipment. Performance Requirements and Warnings Never Mix Coolants Refer to the operators manual of the vehicle to determine the approved coolant type as well as the service life of the coolant. NEVER mix inorganic (conventional), HOAT (Hybrid OAT), or other OAT coolants with Extended-Life OAT Coolant. Mixing coolants to an Extended-Life OAT Coolant cooling system may lead to the following: Loss of stability of the corrosion inhibitor Cavitation erosion Gelling If you believe that the OAT coolant system has been topped off with conventional coolant, or the coolant system refilled without consideration of the proper procedures: Check the Extended-Life OAT Coolant with conventional coolant test strips to see if the level of Nitrites is higher than 20 PPM (parts per million). If the Nitrite level is greater than 20 PPM, a system flush is required. Is it Extended-Life OAT Coolant? Heavy-Duty Extended-Life OAT Coolant is red in color, however the color can vary depending on the angle it is viewed, and some other coolants may have the similar color. There is no industry color standard for OAT coolant; therefore, do not assume red coolant is Heavy-Duty Extended Life OAT coolant. Look for the Extended-Life OAT Coolant decal before adding or changing coolant. The decal shown on this page is located near the fill point of the cooling system whenever the factor fill is Extended-Life OAT Coolant. The decal is available in three different sizes. Service Essentials General ALWAYS refer to the operators manual for proper instructions. NEVER mix conventional coolant with Extended-Life OAT Coolant. It is not recommended to top off a cooling system with water. Extended machine usage could lead to overheating or freezing in cold climates. Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCA) should not be used when using Extended-Life OAT Coolant. When using Extended-Life OAT Coolant concentrate, use distilled water or deionized water in the engine cooling system. DO NOT use hard water, softened water (salt conditioned water) or seawater in the cooling systems. Condition Monitoring Use a refractometer to test the freeze point of OAT coolant. Hydrometers are not an acceptable method to test the freeze point of OAT coolant. Three-way test strips can be used to measure OAT coolant pH level and ethylene glycol content. For optimum protection, the pH value of the mixture should be between 7.0 and 9.0. The optimum OAT coolant to water concentration is 50/50. This concentration will protect the cooling system to -37 degrees Celsius (-34 degrees Fahrenheit). You can determine the OAT coolant concentration with a refractometer that can measure ethylene glycol. Shipping Shipping cost: Varies Delivery time:Ships within one business day.
