The shaft will come with a new grip of your choice from my selection of which I have many from Golf Pride, Winn, Lamkin, Iomic & many others in all sizes, I will also build the shaft to your specs, for length, sleeve setup and ship it out as soon as Iget it built to the buyer's specs, once it has been purchased, this is the shaft is a New profile for Project X and a follow up to the Black Smoke RDX 60G stiff but a much better shaft as the numbers show below comparing the two & several other 65 Gram stiff shafts, so check out the numbers below, but basically this new Black Gen. 4 stiff shaft has a very similar butt section, but a much more stiffer tip and mid section than the Smoke RDX Black version that I have, to give a true Low launch Low spin shaft for the buyer's Driver or Fairway Woods, by utilizing a New Dual Torsional Design throughout the shaft, it creates optimized torque & maximizes stability, this is a new profile as I mentioned above for Project X, which is in my opinion a good thing coming from Project X, so check out the numbers on this shaft, below, from my shaft deflection machine, comparing the differences of the other shafts I have in stock. This shaft as mentioned has a really stiff tip & mid section to keep the spin down over softer tipped higher launching, higher spinning shafts, this also depends on the players swing speed, launch conditions, shoulder plane & driver loft as well. It suits players with a mid to smoother tempo, since the butt section is a little softer than many of the other Hzrdous shafts & the other shafts that have a much stiffer butt section, which are prefered for players with a strong swing, with a faster tempo & quicker transition, also keep in mind that the shafts profile can help you with your accuracy, striking the ball at impact in the sweet spot and distance improves when it matches your swing parameters, such as tempo, shoulder plane, launch conditions, swing speed & other factors, if the shaft you are using now has to soft of a mid & tip section, it adds not only spin but also side spin & creates accuracy issues because of being the added spin. Matrix Red Tie 6Q3 60G stiff 3.280 3.585 4.615 12.300 So the numbers above are the shafts true profile, the larger the number the stiffer it is at that section, if smaller at the butt it will load more & unload more at impact, when the shaft is trimmed at the butt it lowers the kick point & plays stiffer, with a stiffer tip & mid section the shaft will lower the spin & the launch, when the shaft has a soft tip & mid section it adds launch, spin & also side spin, making it more difficult to hit it in the fairway. All shafts even the same in the same flex, weight & length are all different, even with different shaft companies & price, some will be stiffer in the butt, some softer, some stiffer in the mid section and some softer, if someone tells you that they can order another just like the one you demo'ed or try a friends, they are either lying to you or don't have a clue to what they are saying, there is only a very small less than 5 percent change of ordering a shaft of the same make, flex & weight of it being even remotely close, check out the same shafts above 2 Tensie Black 1 K's 65g shafts above, they are not the same, if we had 20 of these shafts or 20 of any of the others they would all be different.
