Description: Lovely solid wood hinged lid recipe box by Nevco Japan, with a raised rooster motif on the front and scalloped edges. It has a hole near the top for mounting on a wall if desired. Comes with a beautiful collection of recipes! Most are handwritten on 3x5 cards and bits of paper in lovely cursive, a few typed on a typewriter, and several that are clipped from ads and newspapers. I did not count but would guess there are 100-150 of them inside. Comes with tabbed alphabetical dividers. Based on the clippings and the style, I would guess that this box and the recipes inside are from the 50's and 60s mostly. This is a clean genuine vintage piece for any kitchen collection!
