Description: These hats are believed to have been produced for 65th Anniversary of the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS, formerly the Nevada Test Site). The Nevada Test Site was established im 1950 by the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). Between 1951 and 1963 a hundred above ground nuclear tests were conducted. Over 800 underground tests were conducted, ending in 1992. Thousands of workers were involved. In 2010 the Test Site was renamed the Nevada National Security Site. Shown with the images is a cover page from an issue of the NNSS newspaper OneVoice featuring a variation of the logo found on the hat. These hats are great historical memorabilia and would make great gifts for any current/retired test site worker, collector or nuclear historian. These hats are NewEra 39Thirty with the sticker still on. These hats are in new condition but appear to have been in storage for many years and do show EXTREMELY light scuffing and snagging. They are all more or less in identical condition so the images are of one hat. The hat you receive will be in very similar condition.
