Description: Antique and original Nernst (incandescent) lamp, developed by German scientist and inventor Walther Nernst in 1897. This probably is the Model-A version (was informed by another eBayer that this is the model or type 2 version) with the ceramic base and pins and the lamp holding latch (screws were used later for this). Clearly the glowing filament is missing, though otherwise the lamp is complete and intact. Sold as is for a collection, display or museum piece. Because this is a unique, antique lamp it will be fully insured, which will be reflected in the shipping cost for this item.
