Description: LONG WAVE UV Bright orange fluorescence on this Nepheline Syenite "Yooperlite" rock. 2/3 of this specimen is densely packed, fine grained Sodalite and has a galaxy of pinpoint star appearance under the UV light. Great UV display specimen. Fluoresces under long wave UV light (Convoy S2 recommended, I have some in my store if needed) I collected this from the Lake Michigan Shoreline, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. 52 grams. 1-7/8" length. NOTE!I use a ConvoyS2 LONG WAVE 365nm UV flashlight with a band pass filter installed for finding these and the photos, you will need one as well to see the fluorescence as nicely as seen in photos.
