It is still rather stiff, but would loosen up with usage. While the ISBN pulls up many recent prints, this one is clearly vintage and using an old ISBN Nelson has chosen to reuse. Has red letter, a compact but readable print, and brief helps at the back. The paper quality is typical of older editions: amazing. The page edge gilt alone is brilliant. The gilding is in almost pristine condition (one scratch noticed). I found no writing.
