Description: Rarely do you see a Latin Cross Navajo textile in the era of 1920-30's. Four full and four 1/2 bold Black Latin Crosses are the main theme of this rug. The full crosses are set against a cream multi-block diamond design with 9 beige diamonds interspersed. The wool appears to be hand spun and all natural. Granted, the Catholic Priests and Bishops were active among the Native tribes in effort to "Christianize" the groups.
