Description: This Navajo saddle blanket appears to be a blend of Germantown and finely spun natural wools. The center gray area appears to be hand spun, whereas many of the color areas appear to be Germantown yarns. This a very fine and tightly woven blanket The frayed area appears to be due to use as a saddle blanket. Personally, I like ethnographic wear, so I didn’t have the worn areas repaired. The blanket has been recently cleaned and moth-proofed. There is an area of light dye bleed which I’ve shown in one of the images. Light fraying at corners.
