Description: I recently inherited a large number of original prints of this 20”x 14.5” poster. It is my wish, and the wish of my late father, Jimmy (1942-2020), to make these available to anyone who wants to own an original piece of American Cold War/Space Race history. The poster commemorates the May 25, 1961 speech by JFK, which was motivated by the Cold War tensions between the United States and Russia. After this speech was given, the great race to reach the moon reached its peak, ending with the moon landing. This poster would be great for anyone who is interested in NASA or the history of American space exploration, or any fan of John F. Kennedy. My father worked at NASA thru IBM and took the prints home with permission in1972, when NASA was doing a cleanout (much to the dismay of my mother, as they were in a very small apartment at the time). They have been stored in a non-smoking, climate-controlled environment for the past 50+ years. These posters are in excellent condition and will be shipped flat, clipped between two pieces of cardboard and two pieces of heavy stock paper to maintain this condition. Since JFK was the thirty-fifth president, I have decided to make these available to the public for only $35.00 each with a nominal shipping charge until they are all gone. It is my hope, after these posters have been kept hidden for so long, that they will now be enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible. I have seen this poster framed in both the blue and red (matching the flag colors), and both are breathtaking. I will try to ship the same day if paid before 11am EST. Thanks, and enjoy!
