Description: Bronze coin commemorating the final flight of the NASA X-43A Hyper-X which became the first air-breathing vehicle to fly near mach 10. This 1.5 inch medallion also commemorates the final research mission of the NB-52B which carried many famous research aircraft such as the X-15, X-24, HiMAT and more. These medallions were given to X-43 program members and attendees of the B-52 retirement ceremony at Edwards AFB. It is a great piece of aviation history.
