Description: SEVEN PAMPHLETS, MOST FROM NASA IN THE 1980'S, THAT OPEN INTO POSTERS. SOME HAVE PINHOLES IN THE CORNERS, SOME HAVE TAPE RESIDUE AND A FEW ARE JUST FINE. ALL HAVE AGE RELATED PAPER TONING. SEE DESCRIPTION FOR SPECIFICS. NO WRITING AND NO CREASES THAT WERE NOT ORIGINAL TO THE FOLDED PAMPHLET 1- HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE (PHOTO 2 & 3) - NASA (2M189)- Undated small pamphlet that opens into a 17"x 21.75" poster. Twelve panels of text. No pinholes or tape marks. Very good overall 2- GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER VISITOR CENTER (PHOTO 4,5,6, 7) NASA- 8.5" x 11" opens into a four panel poster titled "EXPLORING SPACE". This has the holes from a stapler on all four corners as well as tape residue on the text side of all four corners, including the cover (Lower right of Photo 4). Undated. Poster size is 22" x 34" 3- THE MOON ABOVE THE EARTH BELOW- 1989 supplement provided by IBM and Kidsnet. This was for a television show to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the moon landing. (PHOTO 8,9) When open it measures 21" x 29.5". No evidence that this was hung and it is in very good plus condition. No tape marks or pin holes. The poster image is the best of the bunch (PHOTO 9) 4- FIRST ON THE MOON- Twenty Years Since Apollo 11- Supplement to June/July issue of Air & Space/Smithsonian magazine. This poster has surface rubbing and a small water stain on front cover not visible on dark poster side. Text sides include Saturn V Genealogy and opens into a very busy but also very interesting poster of 21.75" x 33" . Pinholes on all four corners, with one being so close to the corner it created a very small tear. (PHOTO 13) 5- SPACE EXPLORERS- NASA WAL-122. Published by Smithsonian in 1988. Tape marks on the text side as well as pin/tack holes on corners. A couple of short tears on the center fold at the edge and areas with a double fold have holes (photo 18). It is a very cool poster with all of the faces and names of Space Explorers through 1988. Though condition is not the greatest, all faults are quite reparable. (PHOTO 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) 21.75" X 33" Poster 6- VISION by BOEING. (PHOTO 19, 20, 21) Opens into a 19.5" x 29.5" poster showing the evolution of flight with a space man as the ultimate, after an image of a satellite. Not impressed with their choice of the ultimate vision as the space man is not actually flying... whatever. It is very colorful. There are pinholes in the four corners that you can see with ZOOM FEATURE but I ran out of photos for a close up. They are neat pinholes. Some scuffing to front cover, above the "O" in "VISION". It appears that "Vision" was a magazine provided for students by Boeing. No date found 7- WORKING IN SPACE- NASA Undated. (PHOTO 22, 23, 24) A two sided poster measuring 23.5" x 31.5". The unfortunate aspect here is that the prior owner displayed both sides at different points so the text side has tape stains near the top two corners (PHOTO 23) while the nicer shuttle outer space image also has a singular tape stain on the right side, second panel down (PHOTO 24- follow arrow). There is also slight surface scratching on the nicer side to the right of the floating astronaut. Neither is terrible but, you know... why? These are not all perfect but only the last one has the problem of faults on both sides. Either way, tough to get all of these posters in one place at one time. PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION ON ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. tall tall
