Description: For sale is a stunning, modernist chip/ crudité and dip dish in gorgeous, solid Nambé alloy. Dish was designed by Neil Cohen. If you have been afraid to use Nambé because you are not sure what it is or how to care for it, fear no more. Nambé is an eight-metal alloy in which aluminium is the primary constituent. Eden, a former metallurgist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, invented it in 1953 and published his findings in 1953. Nambé's proprietary mix gives it incredible flexibility. Oven safe to 500 degrees, you can also put it in the freezer. Temperature retention is one of its attributes, so it will keep foods warm or cold. Nambé needs to be hand washed ( no dishwasher) and cannot go in the microwave. Dry promptly and thoroughly, and use Nambé polish if dulling occurs and finest-grade steel-wool for scratches, and you're good to go. This swooping, free-form 2003 piece is in very good condition, with minor surface wear. It will add gleaming, MCM charm to your table or buffet. Lovely modernist server ships USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles.
