Description: This is a museum quality balled war club that came out of the Onondaga Indian Reservation just south of Syracuse, New York. Back in the mid 1960s an Indian iron worker we called “Pa-Who” would often visit his home of the Onondaga Indian reservation. He said he got the club from someone on the reservation and I was able to buy it from him. This club is 24” long. Made from some type of hard wood and ball was at one time a dull red. Club shows its age and has not been over cleaned. Has a 3” long hand forged iron blade leaded into the ball. Wood has a few cracks and is very dry An enormous amount of labor went into making this war club and this fearsome weapon was not made for show. The Eastern woodland Indians were very fond of this type of war club and used such clubs on their enemies at every opportunity.
