You are buying 1 (one) unassembled boat in the box.Multiple Toymakers produced this 12 inch long polyethylene PT boat from the original MPC (Multiple Plastics Corp. – not the same company) 1960s-era molds. It is nearly identical to one of these classic Baby-Boomer boats which were made in a number of variations and colors.This boat has a white hull and gray superstructure. All parts can easily be attached (no glue required). Accessories include three .50 cal. machine guns, a twin barrel AA gun, 2 torpedoes, 2 life preservers, a searchlight, a mast, the cabin roof, tool box cover, twin props, steering wheel, anchor and instruction sheet. Parts are still sealed in bags and are complete.Like most all of the MPC boats, the upper deck has numerous pegs where ring-hand or other MPC figures with a hole in their bases can be attached. The spot where the driver sits is an "X", one of the final MPC fittins for drivers (found in late Jeeps and vehicles), not a peg. Multiple never issued figures with these particular boats but any of your MPC figures can crew it. The guns can be moved around to any configuration you like.This box was originally sealed with clear packing tape (which yellowed quite a bit with age) so I have opened the box to show and check the contents. Except for the yellow tape stains, the box is in excellent condition with no splits, tears or stains.Mint in Box condition.NOTE: The photos of the fully assembled boat are of a boat from my own collection. Note: Grid in photos is made up of 1 inch squares.Further note: I had an original example of an MPC boat when I was a child around 1960 and I collect them today. I added the words “Vietnam PBR” to the listing title because this style boat reminds me of the PBR (Patrol Boat Riverine) featured in the classic F. Ford Coppola film “Apocalypse Now” about the Vietnam war. I have seen this later version boat being described as “1970s” but it is not, I bought some of these Multiple Toymakers boats in the 1990s to add to my collection because the parts are interchangeable with the original 1960s boats (parts always get lost). MPC made many variations from PT boats and pleasure boats to fishing boats and in many colors (not gray and white). To my knowledge, Multiple Toymakers was the only company to reproduce them (and they didn’t last long). The original MPC boats and this re-issue are seldom seen and very hard to find. I hate using the word “rare” (it’s so often used by AI descriptions) but they are. Note: The grid squares in the photos are 1 inch.
