Mother-ease® Diaper Fabric Stretchy Cotton Terry This terry is specially knit with only cotton touching your baby’s delicate skin, polyester is knit into the base of the fabric to provide strength, durability and shrinkage control. The result is a very reliable product. The cotton terry is available in white, unbleached or colors. The soft terry wipes are made from two layers of the same knit terry as the diapers. These 9" x 9" Baby Wipes are so practical for cleaning baby’s bottom without any of the chemicals, alcohol or perfumes used with disposable wipes. Simply rinse after use and wash with your diapers. Available in a rainbow of fun colors, the absorbent cloth wipes are custom dyed using low impact synthetic dyes. Low impact dyes have been classified by the Oeko Tex 100 standard as eco-friendly. Low impact dyes do not contain toxic chemicals, require less rinsing and have a high absorption rate in fabric (less waste in the dying process). This is the dye of choice for many organic clothing manufacturers that want a diverse set of colors. Hint... use a thermos of warm water or buy one of our wipe warmers and keep at your change area to moisten your wipes. Babies don't like cold wipes. You can choose from the following colors for your wipes: Unbleached, Organic, Bamboo, White, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Aqua, Green, Blue or Purple. *Special Note from 9G Health Foods: For those of you who have purchased our Mother-Ease bamboo cloth diapers, you may have read the ingredients and wondered to yourself…"Where’s the bamboo?" That’s a great question. The bamboo fabric currently consist of 57% Rayon, 24% Cotton, and 19% Polyester. The bamboo is actually part of the manufacturing process for one of the fibers in the diaper, "Rayon". Rayon is a manufactured fiber where the pulp from the bamboo plant is put through a process which eventually produces a silk-like fiber. The fiber is then woven with cotton and attached to a polyester base (for strength). For your baby, what this means is that their skin only touches the Rayon/Cotton blend which is amazingly soft and still durable. Had it been only Rayon (remember, bamboo pulp turned into fiber), it would not be nearly as durable as a blend with cotton. Rayon can be made from a variety of fiber pulps, so the only way you’d know if it came from bamboo is to know your manufacturer. Hope that helps!
