Description: Hello! Presenting this most unusual walking stick that I have ever encountered. I am not even sure how to properly age this item as it could be very old or from mid 1900's. The stick is made with a solid tapered rod of square steel as its core. The stick measures 35 inches long and tapers slightly to a 1 3/16" diameter 8-sided knob at the head of the stick. I cannot even properly describe what the cane is made of but I will do best I can. The stick is comprised of a large stack of alternating different material disks, pressed/adhered together. The rings are made of black, amber, and tan rings of what I can only guess are made of horn, or some other organic materials. The zebra-white/black section near the top is made of possibly bone or possibly ivory. I attempted a small burn test on a few different places, the head/handle melted, the black and amber rings burned and stunk badly. The white sections were not affected. My personal assumption is that some/most of the rings are horn, the head is some form of plastic and area near the handle is possibly bone or ivory. It's definitely fairly old. If anybody has input, I am all ears.
