DIAMETER : 24 mm WEIGHT : 4.87 GRAMS All who lived in Lebanon in those years and until the mid 70's may easily remember the fascination this coin had. It was also the ONLY silver coin in circulation and one could recognize it by just feeling it in the pocket. In the 60's one of these coins could take you to the movies or buy you two pepsis, or a pepsi and a sandwich or a hamburger.
