Description: Moss Agate Premium THIN Scenic Rough tumbling pieces lapidary pound lbs slab See photos, this is high quality Moss Agate from India, cut into THIN tumbling size pieces with most pits, solid green, opaque (white - tree agate) pieces removed. I selected the rough, cut the pieces, and have hand selected the pieces to ensure they all have moss inclusions with clear (or mostly clear) quartz to give you the best specimen available. There is NO FILLER in these lots, just quality moss agate. These are still ROUGH pieces and will need to be wet or polished for you to truly enjoy them. Images show them both wet and dry so you know what to expect when you open the package. I have done my best to clean them up but there may still be some minor saw marks on some of them, which should come right out in the tumbler or with minimal grinding. Due to the nature of Moss Agates, some pits may occur during the tumbling/grinding process, where the moss is located. This is a completely natural occurrance, obviously as you get into the actual moss areas. For best tumbling results - while still a solid agate, these pieces can be thin and somewhat fragile. For best results, use plastic pellets or other media to help cushion them and be aware of how much material can be removed in each stage tumbling stage so they don't disappear. You may want to check them multiple times during the tumbling process to ensure they are getting an even grind and not getting too thin for use. I tumbled the sample ones linked below in a vibratory tumbler for my normal 3 stages - 220, 600, polish - with ceramic media and borax for cushion and you can see the results below. You will get a random scoop of the agates in the picture for whatever amount you order. I have used these for both tumbling as well as grinding and polishing various faces for display and this stuff is great quality.
