Golf Ball Stem Line (#7643, #7678, #1212, #78, #79) (1931 1939)- (Anna Rose, Aquamarine, Amethyst (light), Azure,Copen Blue, Crystal, Caramel, Meadow Green, Mission Gold/ Crystal Stem and Foot, Old Amethyst, Peach, Smoke, Spanish Red, Steigel Green, Ritz Blue, and Venetian). The Golf Ball pattern or line is made up of goblets, footed tumblers, candlesticks, covered containers, vases, rose bowls, compotes, a bell, and a sugar and creamer. The pattern gets its name from the golf ball shaped stem that adorns the pieces of this pattern. Goblets are easily distinguished from tumblers. Both types of stems have the large golf ball shape in their stem. Goblets have an extra plain round ball incorporated into their stem. Tumblers have the single golf ball with a small wafer connector to the foot. Golf Ball was one of Morgantown's most popular stemware and accessory lines and remained on the market for 8 years. This pretty stemware line was produced in at least 15 different sizes, and an array of vivid colors which probably accounts for some of its popularity. Golf Ball stemware can also be found with wheel cuttings, or gold and silver decorations. Today this stemware is avidly sought after by Morgantown collectors as well as collectors of fine antique dinnerware that want to add a fancy stemware to their fine dining area.
