A TRUE First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear/age, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The wear to the dust jacket in particular is EXTENSIVE! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no internal foxing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/marks/wear to the spine/corners/boards and creases/marks/discoloration/wear to the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear that is present on the pages, particularly noticeable on certain pages! All of the wear previously mentioned is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is present but has SUBSTANTIAL wear and is in very poor condition. Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, marks and numerous rips resulting in some loss of paper! Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges! There are also numerous pieces of tape attached to the inside of the dust jacket! If not for the tape, large portions/sections of the jacket would separate and become fully detached. The tape is, essentially, keeping the fragile dust jacket somewhat intact. The wear, particularly near/along the edges and on the spine, is considerable and very clearly visible! All of the extensive wear should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear.
