Description: Beautiful "special" second volume of poems "More Songs from Vagabondia" by Bliss Carman & Richard Hovey dated 1903, 5th edition of only 750 copies. This "Special" book is 72 pages of poems with original water color paintings and sketches by a women whose name appears on the front piece: "Helen Teer Broedr Esbee" is the best I can make out..because of her Victorian flair and style of handwriting. I assume it was a gift to someone dear. Hand cut pages, book is hardbound and measures approx. 4 1/2 by 6 3/4 inches. In very good preowned condition. Has been read..Binding remains good and fairly intact with a small bit of weakness on inside cover. One watercolor is done on paper and has come loose but is in perfect condition and colors remain brilliant. Some paintings are done on the page edges. Another painting is centered. A lovely gift of poems with original paintings from a talented artist. I could find nothing of the artist's name and this book in general is hard too find in this good preowned condition. Poems by the authors are also beautifully written.
