Description: For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a truly gorgeous Montblanc Iced Sea 1858 which is in excellent condition, a full set and was purchased last year. This is a fantastic Montblanc fine timpiece from the power-house Swiss company Montblanc in a striking, masculine and interesting 42mm size. There are a lot of Montblanc timepieces references on the market --- most are excellent value --- but this one is a modern stand-out and high demand reference. Montblanc has really upped their game with respect to interesting dials like this one and functional excellence such as making an ISO 6425 (offical Dive Watch minimum specifications) fine dive watch. My reputation as a Seller is another factor when making a consideration and my eBay rating speaks for itself. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in outstanding condition. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are… 1. This watch is wears true to form for a 42mm watch. I can recommend this watch for any male an average or larger wrist size. Given the way the lugs flair out the watch still has an interesting and noticeable stance and that makes it suitable for up to an 8 inch wrist which is the maximum that this rubber strap will accomodate. Frankly, if your wrist is larger than that you need to step up to a 44mm or larger dive watch for proper proposition on your wrist.2. The case construction and the dial in particular are very high-end --- the iced sea treatment reminds me of the Artic or waters around Antarctica (yes, I have been there... did a marathon on Antarctica). Montblanc makes beautiful items of distinction and this one is no different. This is an immediately recognizeable fine timepiece that garners praise and generates discussion mainly due to the interesting dial. 3. And this watch tells time in a classic three hand configuration that is high-contrast on a wonderful deep, mysterious marbled black dial. The way the iced sea... kind of gray... brings visual interest to the dial and works wonderfully with this otherwise very traditional dive watch design. In sum, it brings tremendous versatility and as you can see is in fantastic condition. 4. One of the primary selling points for this is the ability to easily change to other straps or bracelets that Montblanc will gladly sell you. Still, this black rubber one is a classic diver's choice for a strap and getting a bit wet. 5. The high-contrast and framed date is a wonderful complication... particularly for people like me who are a little older and do not want to squint to ascertain the day of the month. 6. The solid caseback has a truly gorgeous engraving which again is in keeping with the Arctic / Antarctic and very capable dive watch design ethos. 7. Finally, note the wonderful "Full Set" of collateral that you get with this awesome timepiece. See the "everything picture (picture #2)." I believe this is a wonderful "one watch" contender for a man of action. It is interesting and classicly good looking to work with business clothes, a black leather jacket, workout gear and absolutely in and around water and water sports. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation.
