The cutting should start showing the cut leaves as you can see in the pictures. As a bonus, I will also include a stalk that you can sit in water which will root afterwards and then repot. Breakage of leaves happen at times with the mail but just snip off the leaf. If given proper light and keeping the soil semi moist and soon you will have a plant like the one on the last picture which is over 7’ and it got that tall in just two years.plant prefers fresh air so advisable yo put out side and out of direct light or edges could burn. If it becomes to talk you can cut and if it has areal roots, no rooting is necessary, you can plant straight away and make sure to keep soil semi moist until the plant gets established.
