Description: THE CONTROLLER: Direct from Modular Motorsports Racing! This MMR Module turns on the electric power steering rack on 2005-2022 Mustangs, F150's and F150 Raptors. This allows the steering rack (EPAS) to be used in other vehicles or used with aftermarket ECU's and even EV or carbureted applications! The MMR EPAS Module creates the correct signal to activate the power steering making this a simple, plug and play device. The MMR Module plugs directly into the Power Steering rack and simply requires Key on 12V+ and a ground wire to turn the Power Steering rack on the backside of the module uses 3M Double sided adhesive for a super quick install. That's it!! MMR recommends that the module be placed away from high heat sources such as headers, coolant hoses etc. If you are installing a EPAS rack into another vehicle (Hot rod, project car etc.) and do not have the main power cable message me. The power cable plugs into the rack and then directly to battery positive (high amp fuse or circuit breaker recommended) and ground. This is NOT needed for 2015-2023 Mustang or F150's as these vehicles already have the main power cables. This unit comes with onboard diagnostics to help with troubleshooting any issues and wireless firmware updates! THE HARNESS: The power supply wire harness for the electric power assisted steering (EPAS) racks (not pumps) used in various 2011 and up Ford cars and trucks. This harness uses factory connectors sourced from the factory suppliers. The wire is automotive-grade cross-linked polyethylene insulated wire rated for under hood use. The main power harness has 6 feet of 6-gauge, red and black SAE J1127 SGX wire. The OEM Ford harness we based this harness on has 6-gauge wire on the positive side and 8-gauge wire on the negative. See photos for a comparison of the OEM harness and our harness. All wire connections are crimped. All crimps are verified to meet USCAR standards for tensile strength. All our products are assembled by hand in the United States. Custom harnesses (length, wire color) can be made. Message me for prices and lead times. Custom harnesses are not returnable. This bundle can be used when installing an EPAS rack in vehicles, including Mustangs, that did not get the electric power assisted steering rack from the factory and do not have a CAN bus signal from the factory. The EPAS rack is a popular swap part because it eliminates the need for a power steering pump. With this kit you aren't limited to the factory replacement loom. Please note that this is a universal kit for the Ford electric power assisted steering rack using factory-sized wiring. It is assumed that the purchaser and installer are familiar with automotive wiring and will follow standard industry practices.
