US highway 61 originally went from Pigeon River, Minnesota all the way down south to New Orleans, Louisiana, generally running along the Mississippi River to the delta region. It is said that famous blues musician Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil at the junction of Mississippi US highway 61 and US highway 49 - or maybe it was state route 10? definitely along highway 61. The sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 4 pounds, 6 ounces, and is the correct size: 16 1/2 by 16 inches.
