Description: Minton Transfer Watteau Scene Blue White & Gold Oxford Embossed 9 Inch Plate Antique British bone china plate in the Oxford Embossed shape produced by Minton. Decorated with a central black transfer Watteau Scene framed in gold gilding. Blue ground with white embossed floral scrollwork. Gold gilt highlights to the relief molding along the edge. Unmarked. Circa 1830 to 1840. Has some wear to the gilding and a small flake to the edge, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 inches wide.
