PLEASE READ THE LISTING AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFOREHAND. This has been cleaned, glazed and is being stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled fur vault. From the lettering style on the Bullock's Wilshire tag as well as the Grosvenor Canada fur origin tag this was likely manufactured in the early 1980s. Bullock's Wilshire was a high end store in downtown Los Angeles on the level of Saks and Neiman Marcus which operated their own fur department throughout the 20th century. This is thick, plush, fluffy, full-skin genuine fox fur, NOT the cheap knitted fox pieces made from scraps that are everywhere these days and look as cheap as they are priced. This is a classic Hollywood, real deal glamour piece! This was extremely well taken care of; the lining is in great shape, so is the fur and it has been professionally inspected, cleaned and conditioned by a furrier and has been in cold storage in a fur vault. This jacket has a hidden single hook single-breasted front closure, a pointed collar, bracelet sleeves, an interior pocket near the front opening on one side (see photo #5), and falls to top to mid hip, depending upon how tall you are (22 inches from nape of the neck to the hem). The fur is let-out full skin pelts and the hairs are the full natural length, the traditional look of a fox coat. You can see from the front and back photos that care was taken to match the patterns of tan, ivory and grey to make them symmetrical another mark of a high end piece. There is a matching golden tan lining. I wear a size 4 (bust 34.5, waist 27) and it fits a bit snugly in the shoulders and when closed close to the torso but not tight. It would fit a size 2 too, just a bit more roomy across the back. I wouldn't go bigger than a size 4 because even if you didn't close it, the shoulders might be too tight and you don't want to stress the seams in a fur. A WORD ABOUT MEASUREMENTS: I understand how it may be a challenge to assess fit or the size of an item when shopping online. I am happy to take additional measurements and photos. I use my own measurements and measure myself or a friend who actually wears that size and the item with a measuring tape, within 1/8 of an inch.
